New Solitary Watch Print Edition

Our summer newsletter recently which went out to 500+ people in solitary confinement. This quarter’s print edition includes articles on the obstacles to reporting on solitary confinement and the California prison hunger strike, as well as news briefs from around the country. It also includes a moving plea from the mother of a young son held in solitary.

The print edition is sent free of charge, thanks to the generosity of our donors, to currently and formerly incarcerated individuals and their families and supporters and to nonprofit organizations.     Thank you for sending me Solitary Watch. My husband and I minister to inmates who are sometimes in solitary here in NM. We specialize in sex offenders and they are often in solitary to “protect them”.
